Galaxy GeForce GTX 260+ OC Graphics Card Review

Packaging & Contents

The Galaxy GeForce GTX 260+ OC comes in a big cardboard box with an Over Clocked label on the upper right corner. Don't worry about mixing it up with an "ordinary" GeForce GTX 260+ card. Galaxy only offers a factory-overclocked GeForce GTX 260+ card.

The packaging is typical of graphics cards these days - an outer printed graphics sleeve covering an inner box. Inside the black cardboard box nestles the Galaxy GTX 260+ OC card with its distinctive triple-fan cooler. Once you take everything out, you will find the following items :

  • One DVI-to-VGA adaptor
  • One DVI-to-HDMI adaptor
  • One HDTV-out composite cable
  • One HDTV-out component adaptor
  • One S/PDIF cable
  • Two PCI Express power cable
  • One Galaxy graphics card manual
  • One Galaxy HDMI installation guide
  • One Galaxy Xtreme Tuner user guide
  • One Galaxy driver and utilities CD
  • One Galaxy Xtreme Tuner CD

Provided Accessories

The kit comes with virtually everything you need to hook up the Galaxy GeForce GTX 260+ OC to all kinds of display options, from CRTs to LCDs and HDTVs. It comes with the usual DVI-to-VGA adaptor as well as a DVI-to-HDMI adaptor and a S/PDIF cable for the audio feed. For lower resolution output, the card comes with both a component output cable as well as a composite output adaptor.

Galaxy also provides two PCI Express power cables which converts standard Molex power cables into 6-pin PCI Express power cables. This is great for those with power supplies that only have a single PCI Express power cable, or do not even have such power cables.
