Removing The Boards
16. Disconnect the solid state drive's cable by lifting the black locking tab and then pulling the cable away.
17. Disconnect the speaker cable by pulling it out of its socket.
18. Remove the four screws marked in red in the picture below. These hold the motherboard, the WiFi card and the I/O board in place.
19. Remove the WiFi card by pulling it out of its socket.
20. The motherboard is also held in place by a tab extending from the LCD panel's steel hinge (on the left side). Remove the two screws holding the hinge in place. Remember to keep the screws in your container.
21. You may also need to remove the screws for the hinge on the right side of the LCD panel. It is not necessary but unlocking that hinge may make it a little easier to remove the I/O board.
22. Now you can pull the motherboard and I/O board away from the base tray. Then flip the whole assembly over. Be careful as there are cables connecting the motherboard to the LCD panel and the I/O board.
