The Package
The BenQ Joybook 7000 came in a rather small cardboard box. Thankfully, the box came with a carrying handle. That's not something some manufacturers actually bother with.

While the box was light, the handle made it a lot easier to carry.

From the labels on the box, this unit was made in BenQ's manufacturing plant in Taiwan.

Specification list
I'm not too sure if this is common practice with the other notebook manufacturers, but providing the notebook's actual specifications outside the box is commendable as it allows the customer to confirm the notebook's specifications before they even open up the box.

Half of the box was occupied by the notebook itself while the other half was occupied by a another box containing the installation CDs, manual, power brick and cable, as well as the battery.
Let's take a quick look into the box of accessories.

No S-Video cable or even modem cable was provided. So, if you intend to display video out to a television, you will need to source for your own S-Video cable. Same goes for the modem - you'll have to plug in the phone line from a telephone.
