Introduction
Okay, let’s face it. We are all pretty happy with the mouse as our pointing device. Even a trackball or a touchpad or that tiny trackpoint found in some notebooks would be preferable to a graphics tablet. So what’s so good about using a tablet instead? It is bulky, fragile and worst of all, always comes with an insane price tag!
The trouble is when you try to be creative on your PC, using the pesky rodent makes it a very frustrating experience. And even if you have the precision of a world-class Counter Strike player, you still won’t be able to sign your name using a mouse. You really need a graphics tablet for this kind of work.
Like most graphics hobbyists out there, I went hunting for one with a budget in mind. And I came across this – the Wacom Volito. With a price tag of slightly below £40 (USD 75), it is one of the cheapest graphics tablet in the market here. Mind you, I am in the United Kingdom so everything electronic is expensive!
Although there are cheaper tablets out there with better features, I wanted a product with quality and Wacom is renowned for their tablets. So, what the heck!
Let's see how this graphics tablet fares!
