DirectX 11 Performance
The difference in performance was even more marked in these DirectX 11 benchmarks.
The GeForce GTX 465 was slower than the GeForce GTX 470 by about 25% in Alien vs. Predator, and 21% in Metro 2033. In both benchmarks, the GeForce GTX 465 just barely hit 30 fps.
SLI Scaling
In this age of global warming and conservation, we are surprised that SLI is still in fashion. Maybe ATI is right in that NVIDIA doesn't care about polar bears...
The good news is NVIDIA has gotten pretty good at optimizing SLI, so if their sample benchmarks are accurate, they are hitting efficiency levels of 90-95%. Of course, these are at ultra-high resolution with 4x AA and 16x AF turned on.
