The CCFL

Here's a closer look at the CCFL itself.

As you can see, there are blue stripes around the tube. I wonder if they are just for decorations or to indicate the colour of the CCFL.

What I like about this CCFL is the tube end. The tube end is small and covered in transparent plastic, instead of coloured plastic. IMO, this looks much better and it suits the acrylic casings better.

This is how it looks like when it's turned on.

I compared this picture with the actual colours of the CCFL and found that they are quite close. However, the actual brightness of the CCFL is different from what you see inside the picture.

The Inverter

You will need to plug everything to this inverter before you light up the CCFLs.

The best part about installing this kit is that you don't have to worry about connecting the cables wrongly. If it fits into the socket, that's the right one! It's that easy!
