Introduction
Linksys is a Irvine, California-based company specializing in broadband Internet and networking products. It used to be a privately-held company until it merged with Cisco Systems, Inc. in June 2003.
Since then, Linksys has been operating as a division of Cisco, providing networking products under its own brand name. While Cisco concentrates on corporate networking solutions, Linksys focuses on economical solutions for the consumer.
When it comes to wireless broadband routers, Linksys actually has a rather wide selection. There are three main categories :-
- Wireless-B
- Wireless-G
- Dual-Band Wireless A+G
The Wireless-B and Wireless A+G categories only have one model each - the BEFW11S4 Wireless-B broadband router and the WRT55AG Wireless A+G broadband router respectively.
Currently, Linksys' Wireless-G range has the most models - a total of 5 models. Here is a list of Linksys' Wireless-G broadband routers :-
