WinBench 99 Version 2.0
Business Disk WinBench 99
The Samsung EcoGreen F4 (HD204UI) didn't do well in this test, coming in the middle of the pack, together with the 2 TB Western Digital RE4-GP and the 1 TB Samsung Spinpoint F1.
High-End Disk WinBench 99
In the High-End Disk WinBench 99 test, the Samsung EcoGreen F4 (HD204UI) did better, coming in right behind the 3 TB Western Digital Caviar Green and 3 TB Western Digital AV-GP hard disk drives, which incidentally sport higher-density 750 GB platters.
Disk Transfer Rate
This chart shows you the range of platter-to-buffer transfer rates from the innermost track to the outermost track. In other words, it shows you the range of disk transfer rates of the hard drives (from minimum and maximum).
The Samsung EcoGreen F4 had a very high transfer rate range, starting from 72.5 MB/s and going all the way up to 139 MB/s. That means it's just a little slower than the 2 TB Western Digital Caviar Black, which spins at 7200 RPM.
