Inside The Box
Finally, we get to the box containing the card. Phew... We were beginning to feel like we were opening up one of those Russian dolls!
Inside, we found yet another box. This time, it's a plastic box that protects the card itself from electrostatic damage and shock. And boy, was it well-secured in there. It took quite some force to squeeze the card out.
There is a sticker in the upper-right hand corner that reminds the user to connect the power cable to the card. That's a step that is surprisingly easy to forget. However, that's not the end. Also inside the box is another green box. Boy, this is getting a little tiresome.
In this box are the various accessories that comes with this card. We have to point out that if you're expecting a high quality manual, you will be disappointed.

Apart from the manual, XFX also included a brochure and a quick installation guide. There's also the standard driver CD that we have all come to know and "love".
However, it was really nice of XFX to include two DVI-to-VGA adaptors! Granted, the market is shifting from CRTs and analog LCD panels to fully digital LCD panels. But if you have two analog monitors, then the extra adaptor would definitely come in handy.
You should expect to find the following items in the XFX GeForce 7900 GT Extreme Edition package :
