When it comes to sequential reads though, the VelociRaptor BLFS was 1.8 % faster at 512 KB reads but 6.9 % slower at 4 KB reads.
Access Time - Sequential
The VelociRaptor HLFS was mostly faster than the BLFS at sequential seeks but with an insignificant difference of just 1 %. The VelociRaptor BLFS was only faster at 512 KB reads, albeit with a larger margin of 2 %.
