FDD IRQ Can Be Free
Common Options : Yes, No
Quick Review
This BIOS feature allows you to enable or disable the onboard floppy drive controller.
When set to No, the motherboard's onboard floppy drive controller will be enabled.
When set to Yes, the motherboard's onboard floppy drive controller will be disabled. This frees up the IRQ used by the floppy drive controller.
If you are using a floppy drive connected to the motherboard's built-in floppy drive controller, select the No option.
If you are using an add-on floppy drive controller card or if you are not using any floppy drive at all, set it to Yes to save an IRQ which can be used by other devices.
