SW Single Processor Mode
Common Options : Enabled, Disabled
Quick Review
This BIOS feature is specific to the Intel dual-core processor. It is only present in Intel motherboards that support dual-core processors; when such a processor is installed.
When enabled, only one of the processor's dual cores will be active. This naturally reduces the processor's processing power.
When disabled, both of the processor's cores will be active. This maximizes the processor's processing power.
It is recommended that you disable this BIOS feature for maximum performance. This BIOS feature should only be enabled for troubleshooting or performance evaluation purposes.
