V-Link 8X Support

Common Options : Enabled, Disabled

Quick Review

This BIOS feature is used to toggle the V-Link bus mode between the original V-Link and the newer and faster 8X V-Link.

If this feature is enabled, the V-Link bus will be set to run at 66 MHz with octal data rate (ODR) transfers. This sets it to run at the 8X V-Link mode with a bandwidth of 533 MB/s.

If this feature is disabled, the V-Link bus will be set to run at 66 MHz with quad data rate (QDR) transfers. This essentially reverts it to the original V-Link mode with a bandwidth of 266 MB/s.

It is recommended that you enable this BIOS feature for better performance.
