Zalman CNPS9700 LED

The CNPS9500 LED just got bigger! Now we will take a look at the Zalman CNPS9700 LED, which is basically a bigger version of CNPS9500 LED.

The Packaging

Similar to the Zalman CNPS9500 LED, the CNPS9700 LED comes in the same cardboard box with two plastic windows. However, for some reason, Zalman removed the plastic strap which is really useful.

As mentioned earlier, this box offers good protection against damage during delivery, but it's still a good idea to add some padding as the cooler is heavy and relatively delicate (thanks to its copper construction).

Like the CNPS9500 LED, the specifications are listed on the left side of the box, while the key features are listed on other three sides.

The Contents

Inside the box, you will find a small box containing the accessories and a plastic box shielding the heatsink.

You should find the following items within :

  • One CNPS9700 LED cooler
  • One bottle of ZM-STG1 thermal grease
  • One fan speed controller (FAN MATE 2)
  • One FAN MATE 2 cable
  • One double-sided tape (for attaching FAN MATE
  • One manual
  • One S-type clip
  • Four installation bolts
  • Four bolts for Socket 775 mounting bracket
  • One Socket 775 mounting bracket
  • One Socket 775 backplate
  • One AMD socket clip
  • One AMD socket clip lever

Again, we like this kind of packaging because it's easy to open and everything's so organized. You can also pack it up again should you need to resell this cooler.
