Benchmarking The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge

We ran two common benchmarks - AnTuTu Benchmark and Geekbench 3 to compare the performance of the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge with other smartphones. However, we would like to caution everyone that these benchmarks only tell part of the story, because the raw performance results won't tell you how smoothly the smartphone will perform in real life.

There is also the problem of smartphone manufacturers gaming these benchmarks. Although they have been improved to circumvent some of these "cheats", it's not possible to avoid them all. Therefore, we hope you will keep this in mind and take these results as a rough guide, and not the definitive indication of a smartphone's performance.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge's performance in these benchmarks aside, we can safely report that it performed very well. There was no lag in the UI, with the apps loading almost instantaneously. With four 2.1 GHz ARM Cortex-A57 and four 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex-A53 processors in the Samsung Exynos 7420 SoC, coupled with an ARM Mali-T760 GPU, we haven't found any game or app that has stuttered on the Galaxy S6 edge.
