The Slow setting appeared to disable PEG Link Mode. The 6800 GT remained at the default core and memory clock speeds of 350MHz and 500MHz respectively.

When set to Normal, Fast or Auto, PEG Link Mode overclocked the 6800 GT's core by 18MHz or 5.1%. The 6800 GT's memory bus was also overclocked by 24.75MHz or 4.9%.

The fastest setting was, of course, the Faster mode. PEG Link Mode overclocked both the core and memory bus by 6% (21.214MHz core, 29.985MHz memory).

When it came to the NVIDIA 6800 Ultra, PEG Link Mode appeared to overclock only the memory speed! The core speed remained the same, irrespective of the mode selected.

The Slow setting appeared to disable PEG Link Mode. The 6800 Ultra remained at the default core and memory clock speeds.

When set to Normal, Fast or Auto, PEG Link Mode overclocked the 6800 Ultra's memory bus by 28.125MHz or 5.1%.

The fastest setting was, again, the Faster mode. PEG Link Mode overclocks the 6800 Ultra's memory bus by 32.812MHz or 6%.

Oddly, when it came to the new NVIDIA 7800 GT, PEG Link Mode appeared to automatically overclock its core, irrespective of the setting we chose!

Even when we selected the Slow setting, PEG Link Mode overclocked the GeForce 7800 GT's core by 38.75MHz (9.7%)! There doesn't seem to be a way to disable PEG Link Mode for this card.

It's the same story with the NVIDIA 7800 GTX. PEG Link Mode automatically overclocked its core, irrespective of the setting we chose!

Even when we selected the Slow setting, PEG Link Mode overclocked the GeForce 7800 GTX's core by 38MHz (8.8%)! There doesn't seem to be a way to disable PEG Link Mode for this card.

When it came to the ATI X300, the Slow setting appeared to disable PEG Link Mode. The X300 remained at the default core and memory clock speeds.

When set to Normal, Fast or Auto, PEG Link Mode overclocked the X300's core by 20.25MHz (6.25%) and its memory bus by 13.5MHz (6.9%).

The fastest setting was, again, the Faster mode. PEG Link Mode overclocked the X300's core by 27MHz (8.33%) and its memory bus by 13.5MHz (6.9%).
