It's Christmas!!!

Ho! Ho! Ho! It's less than a month till Christmas Day! What will you buy your girlfriend or boyfriend?

Guys, just get her a bar of soap or a bunch of plastic flowers. Tell her they last forever... at least the plastic flowers do.

But girls, nothing seals your relationship with your boyfriend better than buying him a new gaming PC!

For those who are not lucky (or unlucky!) enough to have a girlfriend, well, don't let that ruin your day. It's a great excuse to reward yourself with a new PC!

Now, if you think a PC won't fit your socks or budget, you would be dead wrong. We will show you how you can set up a really affordable gaming PC for Christmas!

Okay, okay, you will have to figure our the socks problem yourself... Heck, just sew a giant sock or something!

We got more important things to think about, like how to conquer the world... and yes, how to set up a gaming PC that will rock our world and yet keep us in the black.

Then later, we will show you how you can win some Christmas presents for yourself!

So, join us on this shopping trip and make your boyfriend / yourself a very happy man this Christmas!

BTW guys, if you are lucky enough to have a girlfriend who's into games and PCs too, she's already your Christmas present. Just get her the PC!

What's An Affordable Gaming PC?

Oddly enough, it's tough to define an affordable gaming PC. What's affordable for someone is often not affordable for someone else.

If we have to design a PC that everyone, even the poorest man on the street, can afford, it's likely that it will play Duke Nukem and nothing much more than that.

So, are we going to sit here and argue about what's an affordable gaming PC, or are we just going to build one?

We say, let's leave the argument over what's affordable, and what's not to the discussion thread at the Tech ARP Community Forums. Let's dedicate the next few pages to how you can cheaply build a gaming PC this Christmas.

So, what's our target price for the full system? After much discussion, we think that a reasonably affordable gaming PC would cost less than USD 1,200 or RM 4,440. Remember, we are here to build an affordable gaming PC. An office PC would undoubtedly cost much less.

Okay, let's get right down to it!
