The Armada RAM Cooler
The VIZO Armada is a simple combination of three 40mm fans screwed to a plastic backbone which keeps them rigidly in place. The backbone also serves as an anchor for the clips used to attach the cooler to the memory module.
Although the fans are rigidly affixed to the backbone, the clips are flexible enough in that you can tilt the angle of the fans. This would be useful if you have two or more memory modules and can only install one Armada. Installing the Armada on one module and tilting it would allow it to blow across all your memory modules.
With the exception of the clips and screws, the entire cooler was deliberately made from semi-translucent plastic. Even the power cable was sleeved in semi-translucent plastic. We will show you why a little later in the review.
Here's the side profile of the Armada. As you can see, it is a simple design. Three fans attached to a plastic backbone which is in turn attached to two clips. The fans are deliberately placed at some distance from the memory module to reduce the cone-shaped dead zone directly under each fan.
If you are wondering what the blue-white piece of cardboard is for, that's the cardboard replica of a memory module. It's VIZO's way of clearly showing you how to install it onto your memory module.
