SteelPad 5L Mouse Pad Review

The Package

The SteelPad 5L came in a unique box that's half plastic and half cardboard. It's actually a combination of a clear plastic case with a cardboard sleeve.

The clear plastic in the front allows you to inspect the design as well as the size of the mouse pad. The back of the box shows what the five layers of the mouse pad consists of, in English as well as eight other languages.

To remove the mouse pad, you just need to slide out the plastic case from its cardboard sleeve. Then you can open up the plastic case to gain access to the SteelPad 5L.

Contents

The SteelPad 5L package consists of :

  • One SteelPad 5L mouse pad
  • One waxed paper backing
  • One plastic case

There was nothing else inside the box. It is literally a bare bones package.

It's a shame that SteelSeries did not include a proper case for the SteelPad 5L. The included plastic case is a flimsy affair that will barely survive a mail delivery.
