GAMDIAS Technology

GAMDIAS Technology is a young new eSports company that focuses on PC gaming peripherals, from gaming mice to keyboards and headsets. Established in 2012, their name is an amalgam of GAM (Gaming Art in Motion) and DIAS, the Latin word for god. In short, GAMDIAS means "god of gaming"!

Despite the Latin origin of its name, GAMDIAS adopts an ancient Greek mythology theme for its products, naming them after Greek gods and goddesses. In fact, they claim that each product will have a patented function that reflects the characteristics of the deity they are named after.

Today, we are going to take a look at the GAMDIAS HADES GMS7011 laser gaming mouse. For those who don't know their Greek mythology, Hades is the Greek god of the underworld and brother of Zeus. Do note though that GAMDIAS offers two different HADES models :

  • GMS7011 - with a laser sensor
  • GMS7001 - with an optical sensor

The model we are looking at is the GMS7011, which comes with a 8200 DPI laser sensor. Let's check it out!

Packaging & Contents

The GAMDIAS HADES laser gaming mouse comes in a very nice cardboard box, with a flip cover in the front. The GAMDIAS HADES' key features are printed on the sides and back of the box as well as on the inner side of the flip cover. Inside, the HADES sits in a plastic tray, under which lies a quick installation guide and two stickers.

The HADES is held in place by a clear plastic cover which precludes the need for cable ties to hold it in place. Once you remove everything, you should find the following items in the package :

There is no software CD, because you are supposed to download the latest version from the Internet. The HADES works right out of the box with Microsoft Windows. You only need the GAMDIAS HERA software to customise it.
