The construction of the Steelpad 4D is double-sided in design. That means it has two different surfaces. You may easily switch between both surfaces during use, depending on your requirements that may vary from time to time.

Unfortunately, as with all double-sided mouse pads designs I've come across, there has yet to be a perfect integrated solution that ensures a budge-free mouse pad without sacrificing usability. Short of the pointless act of duct-taping the Steelpad 4D to the table, the Steelpad 4D will still slip, especially during vigorous mousing actions.

The rubber base

On the issue of aesthetics, the logo imprint on the Steelpad 4D will fade with prolonged (Barrages Of Finger Nail Abuses!) usage.

However, this only applies to the smoother surface as the imprint on the rougher surface is much harder to scratch out.
