The JACSH1 Cooler
The JACSH1 looks small, but it's actually quite big and heavy at 320g. Therefore, it is advisable to remove this cooler if you intend to transport the graphics card elsewhere. Still, this cooler is lighter than Zalman’s 400g heatpipe coolers.
As far as aesthetics go, this cooler is quite the looker. In case you didn't notice, the fan actually has a built-in LED.
At the base of the heatsink, you will see a tall copper slug. It allows the cooler to stand clear off tall capacitors or other components on the graphics card.
The actual contact area is further raised a little bit to clear the shim around certain GPUs. This base is protected by a piece of plastic film, so don't forget to remove it before you install it onto the GPU!
As you can see, the base has a nice mirror finish. You can clearly see the reflection of the coin in the picture below. Jetart has evidently taken the effort to properly polish it for better contact with the GPU.
Now, let’s disassemble the cooler and take a closer look at the heatsink.
The transparent plastic cover, which also serves as the fan duct, was removed by unscrewing three screws at the base of the heatsink.
Removed the transparent plastic
As you can see, the fins are actually made from a single strip of copper that has been repeatedly folded and soldered to a copper plate.
