Introduction
ASUS recently invited Team ARP to the launch of their latest notebook, the ASUS W1000N.
It was held on the 15th of July at the Good Evening Bangkok Thai Restaurant located in the 1 Utama Shopping Complex. Chai and I were there to witness the launch and here is our report!
ASUS
ASUS is the world's top manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards. They are most recognized for their wide-range of computer components, like motherboards, graphics cards, removeable media drives, etc.
They have also ventured into other technological sectors, having released not only computer-related products, but also mobile phones and PDAs. Their quality is top-notch and they do not compromise when it comes to performance and stability.
ASUS is also one of the top 5 notebook manufacturers in the world. This is astonishing as the other four manufacturers get their hardware from OEMs. ASUS is the only notebook manufacturer in the top 5 to not only manufacture their own branded laptops but also provide other manufacturers with OEM components.
In 2003, ASUS delivered a total of 3 million notebooks to the customers, and they are the number one brand in Taiwan. According to IDC, ASUS is the Top 10 notebook brand in the world. They are also the sixth biggest company as well as the second largest IT company in Taiwan. ASUS has been an InfoTech 100 company since 1998.
Impressive, isn't it? Now, let's see what they can come up with for this event!
