Transfer Rate Range
This chart shows you the range of memory cell-to-controller transfer rates for solid state drives, or the range of platter-to-buffer transfer rates from the innermost track to the outermost track in hard disk drives.
The 240 GB HyperX Savage was the second fastest SATA-based solid state drives in our comparison, coming in between the 256 GB OCZ Vector and the 120 GB Western Digital Black² SSD.
Transfer Rate Profile
We compared the 240 GB HyperX Savage to the 240 GB Intel 520 Series. As you can see, it delivered an average sustained throughput of just under 400 MB/s, with occasional bursts to about 420 MB/s, and drops to 370 MB/s.
Business Disk WinBench 99
The 240 GB HyperX Savage didn't do well in this test, coming in at the lower end of the chart. It was more or less equivalent to the 256 GB OCZ Vector in this test.
