IOPS Scaling (Sequential)
In these tests, we tested the drive's ability to tackle multiple input/output operations. We compared the 4 TB Western Digital Blue (WD40E31X) SSHD to the 4 TB Western Digital Red (WD40EFRX). For more performance comparisons, please take a look at The Hard Disk Drive Performance Comparison Guide.
The 4 TB Western Digital Blue SSHD did quite well in these tests, with its flash memory cache giving it a nice boost in performance. It only looks unsubstantial in comparison to the remarkable performance advantage we saw in the random access tests.
