How Fast Is The GeForce 7900 GS?

Good question! Although we have not been able to test the GeForce 7900 GS just yet, NVIDIA made us privy to their test results. Let's take a look!

Single Card Comparison

NVIDIA compared the GeForce 7900 GS against the ATI Radeon X1800 GTO. The chart above have the Radeon X1800 GTO results normalized for easier comparison.

As expected, the GeForce 7900 GS more or less pummeled the ATI card, with anywhere from 20% to 120% better performance. Of course, NVIDIA did not tell us what test settings were used.

Dual Card Comparison

This is basically the same comparison, only with two cards on both sides.

As you would expect, the NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS SLI cards beat the ATI Radeon X1800 GTO CrossFire cards, and gave the X1800 GTO such a trashing that it probably went into a coma!

Well, we will see soon enough if these results are really that spectacular.
