The MacBook Pro Accessories

One of the advantages of the Apple MacBook Pro family of laptop computers is its MagSafe 2 power adaptor. The power adaptor design is not only compact, it can be reconfigured to support different plug types. Its MagSafe 2 connector locks magnetically to the MacBook Pro so that an accidental tug of the power cord will only disconnect the MagSafe 2 connector, instead of pulling the MacBook Pro as well.

The new 13" MacBook Pro with Retina Display comes with the standard 60 W power adaptor, with an integrated NEMA Type A plug. A sideway tug removes it, revealing a standard two-pin male socket. To use a different plug, like a 3-pin BS 1363 plug, just slide it in and lock it into place.

The MagSafe 2 power adaptor comes with a very long cable, but in the event your power point is too far away, Apple provided an extension cable that ends with the two-pin female connector on one end, and a 3-pin plug (or whatever plug is used in your country).

Finally, inside the black cardboard packet, you will find a Quick Start Guide, a MacBook Pro information sheet, two white Apple stickers and a black cleaning cloth.

With that, we conclude the unboxing of the latest 13" MacBook Pro with Retina Display (Early 2015). Don't forget to check out how fast the MacBook Pro's new PCI Express x4 SSD is. You will be shocked!
