The Samsung Galaxy Note5 Phablet
The Samsung Galaxy Note5 phablet comes in four different colours - Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Silver Titan and White Pearl. This example is the Gold Platinum, which was the most popular colour for the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. You can see the design influence of the Galaxy S6 edge in the curved sides of the Galaxy Note5's back.
There are two Volume buttons on the left side of the Galaxy Note5. They double as shutter buttons when the camera is activated. On the right side is a single button - the Power button. When held longer, it allows you to power off or reboot the Galaxy Note5, or switch to Flight Mode or Emergency Mode.
The SIM card tray is located at the top of the Galaxy Note5. Unfortunately, they could not fit the earphone port there as well. It's located at the bottom, together with the micro-USB port, the microphone ports, and the S Pen slot.
Like the Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 edge, the Galaxy Note5 will also boast a fingerprint sensor and wireless charging capability. It also reused the same task and back buttons that appears when you tap them, and then discreetly disappears.
Display & Size
When you turn it on for the first time, it will hit you just how beautiful the display is. The Samsung Galaxy Note5 boasts a stunning 5.7" Super AMOLED display. It has the same resolution of 1440 x 2560 as the Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 edge, so its pixel density is slightly lower at 518 pixels per inch.
Although the Samsung Galaxy Note5 is a phablet with a large screen, it doesn't feel all that large in the hand. This is partly due to the fact that most of its larger size comes from its height, rather than its width. As you can see, it's only slightly wider than the Samsung Galaxy S6.
However, it is best used with two hands. With a single hand, we can only reach 15 out of the 25 apps in a single screen. If you have larger hands, you might reach 20 apps, but it would be quite impossible to reach all 25 apps with a single hand.

The Improved Cameras
One of the best things about the Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 edge were their front and rear cameras. They were both far superior to their chief rival - the Apple iPhone 6, as we discovered in the Camera Shootout : Samsung Galaxy S6 vs. Apple iPhone 6.
You will be glad to know that Samsung knows enough not to mess with a good thing. They used the same front and rear cameras in the Galaxy Note5 - a 5 MP sensor with an f/1.9 lens in the front, and a 16 MP sensor with an f/1.9 lens in the back.
They did improve the rear camera by adding support for VDIS (Video Digital Image Stabilisation). VDIS works together with the rear 16 MP camera's Optical Image Stabilisation capability to further reduce handshake and vibration.
