Undersurface

Now, let's take a look on the undersurface of the Steelpad S&S. Unlike the mousing surface, the undersurface is a rather rubbery and sticky surface that literally 'binds' the Steelpad to your table.

The beauty of creating the Steelpad S&S as a single piece rather than with separate rubber studs/feet is that they won't go missing after prolonged usage. In addition, the mouse pad will not warp as easily.

To top it off, the single piece design is tougher than a layered design. It would very hard to tear this mouse pad apart or even peel the surface off. So rest assured, you will be able to use it for a very long time.

Durability

I put the mouse pad through a series of tests which involved physical abuse, but all of which is within the norms of normal usage.

The mouse pad itself is a highly durable piece of material that survived a drop from a height of TWO STOREYS without showing any noticeable damage. However, with a thickness of only 2 mm, it is NOT advisable that you hand it over to your mother to double as her chopping board. It will definitely not survive the repeated poundings of her cleaver!

As a mouse pad designed for professional gaming, and thus LAN parties; the Steelpad S&S also comes with a protective sleeve! Of course, this is the minimum you would expect for the amount of money you're paying for the Steelpad S&S.

You should note that the protective sleeve has a side pocket which is capable of storing an average-sized mouse. But no bigger than that.
