Radeon R9 380X Performance
As we pointed out earlier, AMD is targeting the Radeon R9 380X at gamers who want to play the latest games at 1440p resolutions. They promise that it will be about twice as fast as a 3-year old card like the GeForce GTX 660 and, at least 20% faster than even the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 OC.
In the other games they tested, they had no problem hitting frame rates of 70+ fps at 1080p, with 1440p gaming recording frame rates in excess of 50 fps.
With the launch of the Radeon R9 380X, AMD has at least two SKUs for each market segment.
