As you can see, the CoolDrive 3 comprises of two separate parts, not inclusive of the 12 screws (4 black, 8 silver) that came with the unit.

First is the aluminum enclosure that essentially functions as a heatsink for the hard disk! This aluminum enclosure has a single 40mm fan installed just behind the center of the front panel. The fan comes with two small blue LEDs, one on each side of the fan. The fan and its LEDs run are supplied with power via a 4-pin molex connector.
