The XTracPads HYBRID actually comprises of two layers - a mousing surface and a base. The mousing surface utilizes a combination of smooth cloth and polypropylene. It is attached to XTracPads’ Sure Grip rubber base for maximum grip.

Although this mixture of material provides an extremely smooth mousing surface as well as an almost scratch-free nature, the mouse pad still had the tendency to absorb and retain perspiration. Therefore, it’s hygienically questionable.

Of course, the XTracPads HYBRID is washable. But if you check the maintenance scroll included with your purchase, it’s highly advisable that you do NOT fold or twist the XTracPads HYBRID mouse pad inwards as this yields unsightly grooves that may hamper its performance.

The design imprint on the XTracPads HYBRID appears to be able to last a lifetime. Even after subjecting it to a barrage of fingernail abuses, it showed no signs of fading.
