WinBench 99 Version 2.0
Business Disk WinBench 99
The OCZ Agility 2 did very well in this test, coming in the third place, just behind the 120 GB OCZ Vertex 2 (E) and the 90 GB Corsair F90 SSDs. Its impressive score of just under 70 MB/s made it about 3.15x faster than the fastest desktop hard disk drive in the market right now - the 600 GB Western Digital VelociRaptor.
High-End Disk WinBench 99
In the High-End Disk WinMark 99 test, the OCZ Agility 2 SSD edged out the Corsair F90 to gain second place. It was just 7.2% slower than the top SSD in this test, the 120 GB OCZ Vertex 2 (E) and almost twice as fast as the 600 GB Western Digital VelociRaptor.
Transfer Rate Range
This chart shows you the range of platter-to-buffer transfer rates from the innermost track to the outermost track for hard disk drives, and the range of memory cell-to-controller transfer rates for solid state drives. In other words, it shows you the range of transfer rates of hard disk drives and solid state drives (from minimum and maximum).
Unlike hard disk drives which deliver a wide range of transfer rates, solid state drives have an almost uniform transfer rate across the entire device. With a virtually flat transfer rate of 282-283 MB/s, the OCZ Agility 2 SSD was the fastest SSD as far as the internal transfer rate is concerned. It even edged out its higher-end compatriot, the 120 GB OCZ Vertex 2 (E).
