Search for MDA Resources
Common Options : Yes, No
Quick Review
If you have a monochrome display adaptor installed, this adaptor will be on the PCI or ISA bus. The chipset must be aware of it so that it can map the monochrome memory space to it.
This is where the Search for MDA Resources BIOS feature comes in. It controls the chipset's search for the monochrome display adaptor.
If you have a monochrome display adaptor installed, you should enable this BIOS feature. This allows the chipset to search for the adaptor on the PCI and ISA bus; and set it up properly.
If you do not have a monochrome display adaptor installed, you should disable this BIOS feature. This may reduce the time required to boot up the system by skipping the search for a monochrome display adaptor.
