Write CAS Latency (Twcl)
Common Options : Auto, 1 Bus Clock, 2 Bus Clocks, 3 Bus Clocks, 4 Bus Clocks, 5 Bus Clocks, 6 Bus Clocks, 7 Bus Clocks, 8 Bus Clocks
Quick Review
This BIOS feature allows you to manually set the amount of time the memory controller is allowed to write to the memory module.
If you are using DDR SDRAM, it is recommended that you set the Write CAS Latency to 1 Bus Clock. But if you face stability issues, increase it to 2 Bus Clocks.
If you are using DDR2 SDRAM, it is recommended that you set the Write CAS Latency to 2 Bus Clocks. Increase it only if you face stability issues.
The shorter the Write CAS Latency, the faster the writes can occur. So, keep them as short as your system can support.
