Wait For 'F1' If Error
Common Options : Enabled, Disabled
Quick Review
This BIOS feature controls the system's response when an error is detected during the boot sequence.
When enabled, the BIOS will halt the boot sequence when an error is detected. You will need to press the F1 button at this point. It brings you to the BIOS setup menu where you can adjust the settings to fix the problem.
When disabled, the BIOS will not halt the boot sequence, even when an error is detected. The system will continue to boot into the operating system.
Generally, it's recommended that you keep this BIOS feature at the default setting of Enabled. This alerts you to any problems during the boot sequence and allows you to enter the BIOS setup menu to make any necessary changes.
However, this BIOS feature should be disabled in certain cases. For example, you may wish to do so if you are setting up a server that does not have a keyboard installed. This allows you to remotely reboot the server and load its operating system. With this BIOS feature enabled, the server would halt without having it halt during the boot sequence (due to the lack of a keyboard).
